About Us

Teamsters Local Union No. 155 was chartered into the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 1987 to meet the specialized needs of the British Columbia Motion Picture Industry. Since 1987, Local 155 has grown to become the second largest Motion Picture Industry Local in North America.

Local 155 represents Drivers, Security, Catering, Animal Handlers & Trainers, Animal Wranglers, Automotive, Marine, and Miscellaneous personnel in the British Columbia Motion Picture Industry. The Local’s mandate is to:

• Advocate for our Members and all those that work under our Collective Agreement
• Supply qualified and courteous labour to Employers who are signatory to our Agreement
• Secure improved wages, hours, working conditions through Collective Bargaining

Local 155 is one of three Unions in the British Columbia Council of Film Unions. The BCCFU is comprised of Teamsters Local Union No. 155, IATSE 891, and ICG 669. With its fellow Unions, Local 155 has successfully marketed British Columbia as an attractive and welcoming film and television production location.
